HANDS

ON TECH

Most people think AI will change everything.
It won’t — unless you do.

ABOUT OUR WORK

Recently, Matthias & I asked ourselves a very simple question: Is the the work we did, the book we wrote and the experiences we made obsolete due to AI ?

Living in the tech bubble, there is always a the feeling that you are already ‘late to the party’. We feel it too.

But in our daily work with companies, we see something else.Transformation is still slow. Year-long projects: Still “in progress”.

And while AI adds new possibilities, it hasn’t delivered the efficiency many expected. In contrary, it has made something painfully clear:

Most organizations never fixed their fundamentals. Many never invested into the idea of real change.

One of our favorite example: Millions are being spent to rewrite good old mainframes. Naturally, in every consulting pitch deck using AI to rewrite legacy code sounds like a silver bullet.

But let’s be honest:

Do you really want to recreate processes from 30 years ago — just faster?

Probably not.

And yet, many organizations are heading exactly in that direction.

Because the real challenge isn’t the technology.
It’s how organizations are structured, how decisions are made, and how teams work together.

That’s where our work begins.

We help organizations build better software by focusing on the fundamentals:

  • clear ownership

  • product-led ways of working

  • faster, better decision-making

  • systems that enable continuous improvement

Because building great software at scale is still hard.
And AI hasn’t changed that.

We bring over 20 years of experience in transforming tech organizations and share what actually works in our book All Hands on Tech, in workshops, and on stage.
